I never understood why society puts such a premium on making money and getting rich.
Money might provide the means to live the life you want, but money almost never correlated with happiness, and isn’t that the most important thing in our life?
The vast majority of us spend most of our life chasing this dream and becoming as wealthy as possible, and what do we find at the end of the tunnel? Nothing. Look around at all of the stories today about the most successful people in the world- athletes, artists, businessmen- and their lives are littered with stories of depression, drug abuse, and suicidal thoughts. They have fame, fortune, and success... but are missing an innate appreciation for themselves.
Happiness is a space, not a destination. Spend time crafting meaningful relationships, spend time on your passions, spend MONEY... because at the end of the day happiness is the ONLY thing that should matter.
